There is a key hole between the X and K on the rear XK8 emblem.
put the ignition key in the little hole in the xk8 emblem on the trunk lid and turn it. works like a regular key lock trunk
put key in door like your unlocking it
You'll find that the key goes into a keyhole hidden in the Chrome "XK8" badge on the rear panel. Between the k and the 8 if I recall.
Unlock the driver's door using the BLACK key (not the green one).
You have to use the key and the keyhole is located on the back between the X and K.
thr key fits in the 8 of the xk8 emblem in the passenger side rear.
hi there, i though ill help a little , and not just ask and wait for answers . myself i have a xk8 - 4.l - 1997 model, i had the same problem. the solution is to take it to an aproved jaguar dealer , is not expensive to reprogram , or reset. mine waz around 25 quid, maybe i waz lucky. also..have u checked the batteries? if they r the rite ones? regards cr4zy_jaguar
Use the black key that you have to open the truck, it overrides the Valet Mode. The key goes in a hole that is between the X and the K on the enblem on the rear of the car.
The XK8 is computer chip limited to 155mph.
where is the starter located on a jaguar xk8?
I don't know if the remote will do it, but if you stick your key into the door it will put it up and down depending upon which way you twist the key. That's correct. You cannot open or close the top with the fob, but you can do it with the key in the door. By the way, most people use their door keys so infrequently that the mechanism is usually very stiff at first. You might have to jiggle is back and forth several times to exercise it before it finally starts to work. Don't turn the key too hard, though. The connection between the latch and the lock pushrods is plastic and it can be broken.
