Turn the key all the way to the run position, and then off and hold the unlock button and push the lock button 3x.
yes
It is likely broken.
There is no battery inside the key to replace. The key actually charges through your ignition. If its not functioning you will just have to order a programmed key from the dealership.
How can I take out the key from the ignition key in a BMW 325i 2001. I can turn on the engine but the key doesn't come out when I turn off.
how do you unlock the trunk of a 740il BMW with keys locked inside
The key remote for a 2002 745i requires a computer at the dealer to program it. The vehicle owner can not do this at home.
I think that if you wish your lights to be on during the day you have to bring your keys, all of them, to the dealer and he will be able to program them so that your car operates with lights on all the time.
The dealer scan tool is required to program a key on this Mitsubishi built car.
No it doesnt. I bought a 1994 BMW 530i that only came with 1 key. I immediately started calling about a making a copy (due to my absent mindedness&past locking-key-in-car incidences), only to be shocked at the dealers replacement key price of about $100 (which also requires a bill of sale, title or registration and your ID). They dont COPY them, they order a replacement right from BMW. You CAN have a copy made however at knowledgable locksmith/key cutters, it took about 10 calls to local shops to find 1 that could do it, and@ a much more affordable $35. Some will tell you that a copy will only unlock the doors/trunk/glovebox, but will not turn the ignition over. This may be so normally, then I just got lucky cause mine starts it up same as the factory key. No chip neccessary;)
You need a scan tool.
You will need to contact a dealership to program the remote key FOB on a 2001 Chevy Malibu. Stock remotes can only be programmed at Chevy dealerships.
