A code for a universal remote control ge for a Berkshire tv
To program a Symphonic TV with an RCA RCR-612 universal remote, there are four codes which you can try. Those codes are 1033, 1038, 1046, and 1047. To try the codes, press and hold the TV button on the universal remote. After you enter the fourth digit, the power light will turn on. Once the light is on, release the TV key. If the power light turns off, you have the correct code and can now use the remote. If the light blinks, it isn't the right code and you need to repeat the procedure until you find the right code for your particular TV.
Try RCA codes. They are the same company.
There are many different versions of the Vizio TV so to program your one 4 all remote try the following codes, three digit remote codes; 502, 627, 004, 113, 505 or 011. Depending on the remote you have some remotes ask for a three digit codes some four and some a five digit codes is need. I have found out 02429 works for some remotes that need five digit codes. 2288 will work for some remotes that need four digit codes. Also, for those of you wanting to use a universal remote, I found after some testing that this uses the same code as one of the RCA codes (the 9th or 10th one) that Verizon Fios list of codes. RCA model L32HD31 has the same IR codes as this TV for some remotes. DirecTV remote control code is recognized as RCA TV, It has a sequence of 35 possibilities to try. Hope this helps. Guy6
Isignia is also made under the Hisense brand name...if you still have the original remote, the instructions on how to program it can be found in the "Universal Remote Control User Manual" which can be downloaded from: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/documents/Hisense/HYDFSR-A205E.pdf The original remote will only accept 3-digit program codes....the device will be TV1 on the remote and the code that worked on my tv which is the Insignia IS-HDPLTV42 is 589. Just in case that doesn't work...try the codes listed for Hisense under the "Brand of TV" tables listed in the Universal Remote Control User Manual. Hope this helps

I searched the internet looking for a way to program my comcast remote to work on my plain old 32" Sylvania TV. Nothing worked. The codes given by comcast didn't work. I read on another web site (askdave) where people with new Sony big screens were having the same problem. Their problem was solved by entering a 1 in front of the four digit number on comcast's list for their TV. I tried this for my Sylvania and the third code in the list worked with the 1 in front of it. Hope this helps.
