esta -if you are in Mexico (and i think anywhere), The e would be pronounced "eh", the s as in snake, the t as in turn, and the a as an open-mouthed,longer a, as in "ah" Many words in spanish use these sounds, i have noticed it to be similar to japanese sounds.

NB: If the word is written as above, pronounce it 'Esta' = 'this (feminine object)'

If there is an accent on the 'a', pronounce it 'estAH' = 'he/she/it is', or 'you are'
