A 99 Ford uses the OBDII code readers. Just plug it in, turn it on and follow the instructions.
Usually you just fill it from where you pull out the tranny dipstick from. Just get a funnel with a little hose attched at the bottom and start pouring in. Where is the transmission filter on contour 99
If you Pull up your back seat you will have access to the fuel pump and gas tank... have rags ready to catch the fuel that is still in the lines
just pull it out an replace with a new one
Probably easiest to pull the driveaxel and take the alternator out that way
With your low beam headlights on , pull the headlight control towards you
you can either pull the hose for it or you can usually just open the drain plug on the radiator
I'd suggest you go to a pull and pay yard. That vehicle is discontinued, and don't count on Ford continuing to support them.
I have a 1995 contour and all I used was a pair of ford radio removal clips. They look something like 2 inch horseshoes with small connectors on the end. They are inserted into the four holes in the radio to unlock it and then just pull it out. At first I talked the Ford dealer to unlock it, but ended up buying a set at an auto supply store. Mine have worked on the 95 Contour, 2002 F150 and 2005 Ranger. Each auto manufacturer has different unlocking devices.
The cd changer for a 1999 ford Expedition should be in the bottom of the center console. It has a pull out rack to change the cds.
The slide bolts should be underneath the plastic or rubber caps. Pull these off and then they are inside. I think it is a 7mm or so Allen key. Been so long cant quite recall the size. Good Luck.
All 1995 and later model vehicles require an OBDII scanner tool to retrieve the trouble codes.
Have to drop oil pan
