To let the back seat down on a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM, you have to open the trunk and pull the release straps located at the top of the back of the seat. By pulling these straps and slightly pushing the back of the seat they will go forward.
I think i saw one called "RR FOG" under the back seat, pull up from the front of the back seat on both sides and it comes up easy.
The Battery is located under the rear seat. Pull up slightly on the bottom of the back seat and it will come up and out and there is the battery and fuses and all the electrical wiring.
in a 99 there is easy access in the trunk, if u pull out the interior you will see it toward the back seats.
grab the front bottom edge of the rear seat and pull up, bang there is the battery, i love the fact the battery is under the back seat, this keeps the bat. out of extream temps and helps it last longer.

On a 98 it is in the plentum on the passenger side under the map sensor. turn the map sensor 90 degrees and pull straight up.pcv should be underneath.
The power steering pump is on the back side of the engine, on the passenger side, under the alternator. The dipstick is on the cap itself. Unscrew the cap, pull it out, wipe it off, reinsert it, pull it out again, the fluid level should be between the hot and cold marks.
In the trunk on the left handside there should be a wire that connects to the fuel door. pull wire that should relase fuel door.
remove the headlight housing, its only the two bolts on top of the housing, and the turn signal is the white connector, twist it closkwise and pull it straight out, the bulb is a 3157
