disconnect battery remove wires from starter then three bolts that hold it on bottom side and one that is hard to get to on top
1/2 or 13mm or 9/16 or 15mm I can not remember right now which. It will have three bolts that hold it on. That is for a Diesel starter.

You have to pull the front clutch off to get to the rest of the bolts...
You need to first pull the flywheel/magneto off of the crank shaft. The starter clutch is attached to the back side of it with bolts.

Disconnect the ground cables from (both) batteries. Slide under the passengers side, behind the front tire and remove two wires and three bolts from starter. I believe the bolts are 17mm.

Starter located under seat. Remove Filter Box then unhook cable from battery and hot terminal from starter. Remove two screws from end of starter and pull out, a screwdriver may be needed. You may have to loosen oil steel lines to allow room for starter to come out.
