I was a horrible teen so I can see why its a problem. The only thing that worked for me was boot camp and therapy. Sometimes its just hormones. Sometimes they are testing there limits and want to see how far they can push you. One thing my dad did was he actually asked me why I did the things I did. I didn't have a good answer other than to drive my parents nuts and to have as much fun as I could before I grew up. Teens do this stuff all the time. Just make adjustments to the punishments and make them as long as you need to. Unless they are doing something illegal it shouldn't be a huge concern. Just set a curfew and when you punish then stick to your guns and don't budge on it.
Yes you can. Ground them, take the cell phone, remove the computer, but if you say you are going to do something do it.
They are basically to punish bad behavior. As you can see, the laws of any state or country has all those penalties and punishments. And in Ancient Mesopotamia, Hammurabi's Code was full of punishments.

The laws put on the colonists in 1763 to punish them for the boston tea party were called "The Intolerable Acts."
Yes.
They need punishments so that you can correct them and guide them along the right path. If a child lied to you, would you just forget about it and let them think that lying is right or would you correct them? If we didn't love our kids, we wouldn't punish them!
The most effective way to punish teen criminals is through a combination of accountability, rehabilitation, and support. This can include restorative justice programs, counseling, education, and mentorship to address the root causes of their behavior and help them reintegrate into society as productive members. It is important to focus on rehabilitation and providing tools for positive change rather than solely punitive measures.
Ancient civilizations believed in strict justice as a way to maintain social order and prevent crime. They viewed harsh punishments as deterrents to potential wrongdoers, attempting to dissuade others from committing similar offenses. Additionally, these societies often viewed punishment as a tool to showcase the power and authority of their rulers or legal systems.
