get a ring compressor put around the piston so it compresses the rings, make sure to drench the piston in oil and get a nylon mallet and carefully tap the piston into the cylinder from the top of the block but make sure you have the piston facing in the right direction and the caps go with the right rod and so on.

From your question im assuming that you have rear disk brakes so use a C clamp to press the pistons back down, if it is too difficult use the bleeder valve at the back of the caliper to release the pressure. Remember to bleed the brakes when you are done if you do this though
rear brake pistons are called actuated pistons. And the twist in and out. You will need a special tool to twist them back into the caliper. Unlike the Front Pistons which can be pushed back.
