Hard to answer without a deck size.
I have Murray 42" cut riding mower that the belt came off. How do I put the belt back on?
According to Youtube
if you can see where it goes on all the stationary pulleys, put those on first, then there will be one idler pully, pull that back and the belt should go on easily
I have the information if you want to give me a call. 989-871-4227
- cut off the old belt - buy a new belt - take off the two pulleys that have yellow brackets (one on each side) that restrict you to just put on the belt - put the belt on all the other pulleys - put the other two pulleys back on
Put the belt tensioner tool on the tensioner pulley, and push away from you. Then you can slide the belt off. You either need to cut it or unbolt the engine from its mount and slip it out.
This would all depend on the year and engine configuration/size. An easy way to figure it out is to take a piece of string or an old belt that is larger than the one you want to put on and cut it once. Then put it on where you want the new belt to go and mark or cut it to the length that it meets up with the one end pulled tight as you can. Make sure that the belt tensioner is run in so that you have plenty of room to tighten the new belt once it is on. Be sure to check out watchtower.org
put the belt oni believe it is a positive contact switch so take the 2 wires that lead to the female belt receptor and cut them, then solder them together...this should do it.
I'm not sure but I'm having the same problem. Someone please answer this!
