The fluid used for the hydraulic clutch is DOT 3 brake fluid

That is a safety devise so that if it is in gear id doesn't move on start up.
If it is a standard transmission, you would need to slowly let out the clutch while backing up.
No dodge does not make a 305 as far as i know. 318 or 360 are the choices for V8's.
usually a clutch will cost u around $300 to $400 , it is pain to try to do one yourself, trust me , i been there done that, good luck
You cannot physically put a clutch disk in backwards unless you force it together. If you do this you will destroy the clutch disc and possibly other clutch components.
