first locate the starter in front of your enging under the exhaust and there should be a heat guard with three bolt and 2 for the starter top be disengaged and then take off the connecting wire to your solinoid attached to your starter and be careful not to let the starter fall
Well yes and no. Both have a 2.2 four cylinder if I'm not mistaken, but I don't think the earlier Cavalier's have the EcoTec motor. And you should be able to get the engine from the '03 into the '97 with no problem.
how to i put it at on the Chevy cavalier 2.2 l
un hook the negitve on the battery. then unhook all the wires from the back of the starter solenoid. then put the two bolts that hod the starter to the block, should be out after that.
Could be a linkage problem..
i like to know what wire it is if any one knows email it to me tduckworth422@yahoo.com thanks
You can put anti-freeze into the search tank of your Chevy Cavalier. Newer Chevy Cavaliers have a sealed radiator and the search tank is the only place you can put anti-freeze into the system.

I have a 1989 Chevy Cavalier, and I need to know how to put freon in to use the air conditioner in my Cavalier. Right now it is blowing hot air, would like cold air. Please help me.
The starter relay is inside the starter. You will need to replace the starter.
i don't see why not the 2.2 was used in 95 and 96 should fit right in
yes you can, you can turbo anything.
In a Chevy Cavalier, you put the brake fluid in the brake fluid reservoir located atop the master cylinder. You can find this under the hood, on the drivers side, near the back firewall on top.
