Take out the CD player. You will see a cluster of wires attached, you need to cut them all off then pair them too the loom of your tapedeck. If you go online you can normally find a wiring diagram for your head deck. First find the power cables there are 3, normally coloured: Yellow, red (or red and yellow) and black. Yellow is Battery(aka Constant), Red is Ignition, and Black is Earth. If there is no black in the vehicle cluster simply bolt the black one from the tapedeck onto some exposed metal to complete the circuit. The opther four or the speaker cables if you fiddlew around a bit you will figure out which goes where.
If you give me the make and model of the car i could probably be more helpful in terms of wire colours.
Sure you can if the tape player is a 12 volt DC player.
Yes , but what kind of tape
you can put duct tape on you car to fix your bumper
put tape on it
after you put the wiring together click on the wiring woll hoding the eleectical tape
I think in most places it is illegal to carry a weapon in your car.
It really depends on who makes the head unit. I had a tape player and put in an Alpine CD player and all of my lights on the head unit work, but the wiring was tricky. I had to cut out a hole for the wiring to get from the trunk inside the car. Then I had to put the wiring under the carpet and under the backseat to my custom-built speaker box. Generally, you can't take the deck off of a tape player and put on a CD player deck and have it work at all. I would suggest that you buy a complete head unit. If you just want a new tape player deck as long as they are made by the same company then they should work.
Car Tape was created in 2002.
get a new radio.. you can buy a removeing tool from wal-mart to remove the stock radio. and you can buy a new tape deck or a CD player cheap these days. but with it being a convertable i say get one with a removeable face plate. and don't leave it in the car when you park it for the night or are out somewere. i don't even lock the doors on mine after i put a new soft top on. if someone wants in they would cut my new top.
first you peel off the tape or what ever cover the sticky side then you put it on your car where ever you like it to be.
Bring the car inside a heated garage and let it warm up.
Remove the tape player decorative cover. Remove the tape player retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the tape player. Reverse the process to install the new tape player.
