Back off the self adjuster and the e-brake adjustment.
If you do not know how to do this then you should leave it to a mechanic. Replacing drum brakes is not an easy task anyways.
it was the e brake line was to tiet Shoes are touching the drum adjust back until freely rotating.
brake fluid leaking from a brake drum indicates the brake slave cylander on that wheel is leaking and needs to be replaced you will not see the actual leak with out removing the brake drum
Brake drums can be resurfaced by turning the brake drum in a brake drum lathe. When the brake drum has deep grooves in it, it cannot be repaired.
There could be several reasons such as, you forgot to release the e-brake and drove the vehicle with the e-brake on, or a grease seal went bad and grease is getting onto the hot brake drum or brake rotor, or brake fluid from a leaky wheel cylinder or caliper is getting onto the hot brake drum or brake rotor.
When replacing drum brakes, you will need the following tools; New brake shoes, Brake springs, Pliers, Jack stands, Wrenches, Brake retainer tool, Screwdriver, Pry bar, Hammer, White lithium grease, Dust mask, Car lift, Brake clean and Anti-seize. First you have to find out if your car is a front of rear wheel drive, when you figure that out, you will have to drain the master cylinder brake fluid out. Remove the tires and remove the wheel bearings. Once all the components are off you can replace the brake drum.
A drum brake is a brake that uses friction caused by a set of shoes or pads that press against a rotating drum-shaped part called a brake drum. The term drum brake usually means a brake in which shoes press on the inner surface of the drum.
You will have to get a brake spoon and from the backside of the drum pull out the rubber plugs and look inside and you will see a gear wheel, the wheel needs to be turned downward to back the brake shoes off from the drum and then the drum should come off.
most likely if you have drum brakes. the shoe has came off the metal mount, and lodged itself in the drum. get new brake shoes. but have fun getting the drum off!!!!!!
To remove a stuck brake drum you will need to use a brake drum puller to get it off. Many auto parts stores have a loaner tool program where you pay a deposit for the tool and get your deposit back when you return it.
if you can move a couple millimeters, you need to get at back of brake drum and back the brake off far enuff to allow the drum to slide off
No , disk brakes front and rear ( the back disk brake rotors have small parking brake shoes inside of a drum portion )
