You can use a program called Handbrake. It is freeware and it will convert a DVD movie from the disc into a file that an iPod will accept.
This will only work if you have an iPod with Video capabilities. (all new iPod Nano, Classic and Touch have this)

you can download free films off the Internet on your computer and then sync them to your ipod touch but to get free games that you would normally have to pay for u will need to jailbreak your ipod touch first
