It is not in halo combat evolved proper, but you can probably get mods with a gravity hammer in it for halo custom edition. It is in halo 2 used by Tartarus but you cannot wield it. In halo 3 you can wield it i multiplayer and campaign. I have no idea about halo odst but it was not in the list of weapons not in odst so I imagine it is in there.

I suggest getting Custom Edition, as it is much friendlier to custom mods. Halo CE does not allow modded maps, neither skins.

Aimbots do not exist for Halo 3. There are mods for maps though. If you put mods on your file share, it is possible you will be banned though.
How do you get your halo mods to work?
If there maps, go into the Halo CE files and put the map file into the file named "map" or something like that then, when you play halo it should work, but if its the menu or something you have to take out of the maps file, a file named "UI" take that out and put the one you got into it, but all the other mods are programs you just need to double click on em.
In Halo Combat Evolved is there a specific reason that everyone uses the bloodgulch map for mods and do the mods affect the whole game or is it just that map only?

You just need to edit the game type by pressing "X" on the Custom games menu, and then go to "Infinite ammo" and make it say enabled
