well, first you have to have money to place into said account, it could either be cash, or check, or money order in your name, etc. then you have to physically go to the bank, (the one that your account is with, obviously) and visit one of the teller windows. And then you say these exact words "I would like to make a deposit." you give the teller your money and there you have it.
OR, if you have ATM access, and the ATM that you are using has a deposit slot, all you would need to do is put the money in the proper deposit envelope, access your account, and slide it in, presto!
OR, if you are super cool and have a computer with a scanner, (this will work with checks only), you can scan the front and back of the check using the application on the banks website (some banks don't have this yet)
