Unfortunately, you have to cut the old one out and weld a new one in. Unless you have experience with welding sheet metal, you should pay a body shop to do it.

If you cut the housing down to fit the chevelle it will work but to just take and try to put it under the chevelle it's too long.

YES it will bolt right on with no problems. You WILL need the headlight wiring harness from a '70 to accommodate the 4 headlight system though.
Bucket seats out of a pontiac sunfire from the 90's will fit in a 60's chevelle. You might need to put risers on the mounting brackets.
There probably "pressed in" so take a couple of old nuts or balls from the rocker arm, put the nuts on the shaft, then put the rocker nut on and just tighten it up, it willl pull the shaft out of the head. Good Luck
