Upgrade to iOS 4. It's free.
It won't work if you have an old iPod Touch (before September 2009) or any 8GB iPod Touch. You'll need to jailbreak to get wallpaper.
Go to Settings>Wallpaper>select the picture you want>select "Home Screen".
http://www.pavtube.com/free_resources/how_to_put_the_wallpapers.html If you take a picture, then you can upload the picture as your wallpaper. http://www.poolga.com/.
Set a wallpaper by going to settings>wallpaper Choose a pre-installed wallpaper or choose one from your photo library. On 4th gen, you can also set a separate wallpaper for the home screen. When you jailbreak your iPod touch, you can download winterboard themes to also change icons, battery icons, the dock, the lock screen, and much more.
If you have an iPod Touch 2G, then you can't get a home screen wallpaper unless you jailbreak it. You won't be able to multitask either. Apple decided to disable some of the features for the older ipods for god only knows why. But if you have the newest ipod touch, just go to your photos and hit "set as wallpaper" like normal but then it will ask you to "Set as Lockscreen", "Set as Homescreen", or "Set as both".
i have a ipod touch screen, in fact am writting this on my ipod touh screen! to put a picture on your ipod touch as your wallpaper you first have to go to settings, after you go to settings go to where it says general, after you have gone to general, go to where it says wallpaper. once you have clicked on wallpaper you should see your pictures or the ipods own wallpapers. just click on which ever you want, then when you have picked your wallpaper just press set as wallpaper and then there you go! hope i helped
you go into the setting tab press wallpaper and then click on the picture of the home screen and choose a photo. you can also go into the inbuilt pictures app and then click a picture, then click the box with the arrow coming out if it and set it as a wallpaper
Update to iOS 4.0.1, then go to wallpaper and change lock screen wallpaper and home screen wallpaper. It wont work for iPod touch 3g and under and iPhone 3g and under because apparently it will slow it down all the new features.
it seems as tho only 3g ipod touch/ iphone 3gs only gets wallpapers. when you updated there should of been a default backgroud. other than that go to settings>wallpaper>set wallpaper and you will have the option to set home screen, lockscreen, or both
you mean when you open your ipod and write your password oh you just go to pictures and you'll see in the right a small screen pointing on it an arrow just click it and chose "set as background" there you go you did it . :)
It's called the home button, and it is the only button on the screen of the ipod touch. It is circular with a white square. it takes you back to a home screen.
the "home" button
