have the new harness handy, stretch it out in the same direction. plugs should be the same. most only go back in one place. the ones your not sure of mark both wires or plugs with a number. go in one direction that way you want miss any. you may have to reset the computer you can do that by taking the ground wire off for a few minutes.
NO. The wireing harness and computer in the 1500 won't hook up to the 2500 transmission. You must put the 4L60E back in it.

if you buy a hayns book it has all the wireing diograms for the whole car. it helped me with the stero wires cause i couldn't find a harness to put in an aftermarket stero.
I have a 1993 civic ex coupe.Ive looked this up but noone has a clear answer i put the Y8 in my car.Put the OBD1 alternator on and OBD1 injectors ive converted the Dizzy to OBD1 but i have three extra plugs on my wireing harness left over and car will not crank or anything.I used the Z6 wireing harness.So all i know to do is Put a Z6 intake manifold on? any suggestions.
As far as fitting in the truck YES. Hear's the problem that you will have. First it won't even run because the wireing harnesss and computer system / ECM. Engine controll module was designed for a VORTEC engine. none of the wireing harness will hook up to the 92 350 engine. To make the 92 engine run correct with NO TROUBLES. You will have to have a 92 ECM / computer system and a 92 model transmission and the intire engine wireing harness for a 92 model. You will also have to change the fuel pump. Your best bet would be to put a VORTEC ENGINE from 1996 to 1999 back in it.
It will be a tan wire with a black stripe that breaks out of the wireing harness on the fire wall but close to the dist.
