Remove the door panel, (make sure that the regularor & motor is not bad), either jump the connectors to roll the window up or manually push the window up if the regulator is bad. If the regulator is bad, the window will slip back down. Regulator is $200 at the dealer and $200 for a new motor. Regulator & motor combined on Ebay is $90.
you either have a diying battery or a ground short
The Buick Rainier's production ceased in 2008. The Rainier was replaced by a new crossover SUV. There was also a recall for the model years 2006 and 2007 due to short-circuits in the power windows and door lock switches.
In short the answer is Digital Horsepower Search at regalgs.net or clubgp.com Both sites have a wealth of information on uprating the gm 3.8l engine. The engines can easily be upgraded mild power with more serious amounts with hardware upgrades.

Answer85s came standard with: buick v6-231 2bbl, buick v6-231 sfi (w/turbo), olds v6-263 diesel however most rear wheel GM engines should fit depending on how much customization you want to do. i recomend a 1970 buick 455you can also drop in an olds 307. Its a well rounded engine and can be beefed up some too.The 85 buick Regal Limited came equip. with 305cid small block chev engine. this is to say any sbc combo will fit as well as bbc (use short fact, style valve covers to clear heater box if bbc option is used) My best advice is stick to the sbc chev very cheap power ie 383 stroker ect. find a early 80s chev montie as a doner car for all nessary bits ie throttle linkage mounts ect Very easy swap no mods required
I have been told you need to watch the wire harness where the wires cross through the body to the door. The harness becomes damaged and may cause a short circuit. For whatever reason it may be grounding when doors are locked.
Try a 3/8" ratchet with a u-joint and an extention. Usually a short (1.5") and a medium (5") extension will do it. For a horizontally mounted V-6, it's actually pretty easy... Always in park!
No,there is no circuit protection between the battery and the starter. If the starter is causing a dead short to ground, there is definitely something wrong with the starter. Pull it and have it checked. The switch that engages the high current is inside the starter. If the starter is fried and perhaps something melted to ground, every time you engage it you will get a dead short.
i have looked every where for short curtains-people still have short windows---where can i get them
