Hi
To put your device in DFU mode
Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-20 secs.
Easy.
You can put the iPhone into DFU mode and do a full restore via iTunes, this is similar to "flashing".
Connect it to your computer and open iTunes. Restore it.
put it back in dfu and then restart it
You mean DFU mode? It is a feature that can fix iDevice bugs or glitches when you face issues. But sometimes, if you face the iDevice stuck in DFU mode, you can use iTunes to fix the stuck issue or use an iOS repair tool like UltFix, TunesKit, Tenoshare....
Dfu mode is usually used to jailbreak your iPod touch
put ipod into dfu mode and plug it into a computer that has synced with a ipod/iphone with the desired software. Then when it asks to restore from back up go into your ipods files in my computer and drag the software onto itunes then it will do the rest p.s. to put into dfu mode hold power and home button at the same time until ipod turns off then let go of power button but hold home button for 20 more seconds then its in dfu mode
Well, if you tried holding the home screen button for 10 seconds and the DFU mode did not come up then, you can see if it lets you restore it on iTunes.
Put it in DFU mode
I assume you don't mean a cellular unlock, but rather unlocking to the home screen on the phone itself. To bypass this, you must restore the iPhone in iTunes, using DFU mode. Google, "enter DFU mode" and you'll find it.
You will either need to run jailbreak software which will push it back out after the change, or connect it to iTunes, which will try to do a restore from the last backup.
That means you accidentally put a password on your device and guess it wrong too many times. You just have to...Plug into iTunesRight click your iPod's name on the sidebar and click backup so you can keep our data from the processThen go to your iPod's summary page in iTunes and click RestoreWhen restored to factory settings, set up your "new" iPod on iTunesWhen you come up to the step, choose to restore from backup DO NOT SET UP AS NEW DEVICE!Wait anxiously.Finish process and enjoy life again.
DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode itself does not automatically wipe your device's memory; it allows you to install firmware or restore your device without loading the operating system. However, if you proceed with a restore or update in DFU mode, it will erase all data on the device. Performing DFU mode incorrectly, such as disconnecting the device during the process, may lead to issues, but it typically won't erase your memory unless you initiate a restore.
