-make sure to wake up and go to bed at the same time every night

-try not to hit the snooze button

-tidy up your bedroom before you go to bed

-get some sun in the afternoon

-exercise in the afternoon

-get all your errands done during the day so you are not so stressed at night

-during the day revive yourself with a fifteen to twenty minute power nap

-switch coffee to decaf. It takes a long time for the caffeine to wear off

-dine early and eat light

-set the mood for sleep and dim the lights half an hour before bed

-read a good book or listen to soothing music

-take a warm bath before bed

-make late night snacks light. bananas, milk and peanuts can help you fall asleep.

-keep things calm. avoid scary movies, intense conversations and energetic music before bed

-go to bed early. most people have a hard time with this but try going to bed just five minutes earlier each night

-keep your bed for relaxing activities like reading, sleeping and such. Don't pay your bills on your bed , do homework or stressful things. This will make your mind associate bed with stress Weather you realize it or not

-turn clocks away so you don't obsess over the time

-keep it quiet cool and dark. fans will serve as white noise and keep it cool

-switch it up. try sleeping on the opposite end of the bed or turning on your other side.

-if your wide awake after half an hour, stop obsessing over time and get upand do something relaxing. after a while, go back to sleep and try again

-keep furry friends out! give them a bed of their own
