just hit the plus button during a battle and hold down all the buttons it says at the top next to "quit" at the same time. then just keep hitting b until you get to the title screen. hit the home button and hit wii menu from their. then turn off the power or play something else.
Back in the day, games didn't let you just go back to the main menu like they do today. Usually, after you saved the game, you just turned off the SNES, or reset it. But, if you want to go back to the main screen without having to reset your SNES, you can hold L+R+Start+Select at the same time, and the game will go back to the start screen.
