To raise a chao feed it fruits that it likes if you want a hero and angel chao, give it lots of animals, pet it bring it to school, win some toys for it to play with, and songs, or dances! Just treat it like a baby!

Yep, you can get a Chaos Chao in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle! I'll tell you how to get one. First, you need a Chao that has reincarnated at least 2 times (NOTE: This doesn't count for ages, just the "Times Transformed" thingy that the Chao Doctor says when he shows the chart for your Chao). Once it has reincarnated twice, give it ONE of all 21 animals. Don't give it ANY Chaos Drives. You can feed your Chao, too. Depending on who you raise your Chao with will depend on if it's going to be Hero, Neutral, or Dark. To get an Angel Chaos Chao, raise it with the Hero Characters: Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles. To get a Light Chao, raise it with both sides of characters. Make sure it doesn't turn Hero or Dark, just in between. To get a Devil Chaos Chao, raise it with the Dark Characters: Shadow, Eggman, or Rouge. When it evolves, it should be a Chaos Chao.

Where the chao is raised doesn't matter; it will take the alignment of whoever raises it the most. A good indicator is the wings; if they are dark, your chao is getting more evil, and vice-versa.

When a Chao has reached its evolution stage it should become a Hero chao and unlock the Hero Garden if not unlocked already. An alternate way is to abuse the Chao with a Dark character, Shadow, Rouge or Eggman, but this will shorten your Chao's lifespan and decrease it's chance of reincarnation.

I think this is the best chao you could ever get. Have 5 chaos,each specialiced on a skill: swim chao,run chao,fly chao,power chao,normal (stamina) chao.All them must have an S grade on their ability (or an A,in case you don't get an S.)If you have an A chao and it's a child,consider training it more on its specialiced ability to raise a grade and get an S. Breed swim with run,fly with power.Breed the resulting babies,and breed this final baby with stamina. Keep breeding and breeding until you get an all S grade chao.Then get it to become a Chaos chao and raise all it's levels to 99. It's pretty wicked.
