1. Close all vehicle doors, windows up.2. Insert the key into the ignition and wait for dome light to turn off.3. Hold down the power unlock button on the driver's door panel - continue to hold down until instructed to release in step 94. erform steps 5 though 8 in fairly rapid succession.5. Turn the ignition switch to the on position (as far as you can go without starting the engine)6. Turn the ignition switch to the off position.7. Turn the ignition switch to the on position.8. Turn the ignition switch to the off position.9. Release the power unlock button on the door panel, The vehicle will cycle the door locks (lock and unlock the doors automatically) to indicate that the vehicle is in programming mode. IMPORTANT: ALL transmitters must be programmed at this time. When a new transmitter is programmed, it will deactivate the old transmitters.10. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until the door locks cycle (locks and unlocks). This step may take up to 30 seconds.11. Repeat the previous step for each additional transmitter (including any existing transmitters).12. Turn the ignition switch to the on position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode.13. Test transmitter(s) for function.
You cannot reprogram it. A dealer can get you the Master Code if you've lost it.
the dealer does it with a scan tool
On the inside of the keyless entry remote or sometimes on the back it explains how to do this. I believe you hold the unlock button along with the lock button for 7 seconds near the car. It will explain it on the inside of the keyless entry remote.
It can have power locks with out keyless.
I bought a 1998 ford explorer and the owners manual showed how to reprogram the keyless entry system if you have the manual read it if not you can look on line for that info i had to locate the computer module to find the factory 5 # code on it before i could reprogram mine.May be different on 2008 just trying to help.
Take the remote apart and it says to push the buttons once each or twice each try this
Your remote might need replaced, the buttons are probably worn out. They usually don't last for 10 years!
In the owners manual it tells. On my 93 lesabre I had to jump two of the connetors on the code reader
The location of the remote keyless entry module on a 1998 Saturn is in the rear of the passenger compartment. It is underneath the trim at about shoulder height by the right rear seat.
Try turning the ignition on and off about 10 times until the door locks, lock and unlock, then lock with the remote done.
My 98 Ram sport does it is a control module behind the dash if your does not and can be installed quick at the dealer .
First unlock and open the hatch, the horn alarm is now disarmed and you can unlock the driver side door.
