theres a small button at the top of your Xbox 360 remote with a small beam time picture next to it and there is also one on the front of your xbox..
if you press these at the same time and hold them down you should be able to connect the controller to a new xbox without any problems ..
this may take 10 seconds to connect so be patient :D

Find the sync button on the Xbox 360, this will be a small button. On the Xbox 260 slim, it will be above the USB section. Find the sync button on your controller, this is located at the top of the controller. After when you have found all these, just press the xbox 360 sync button and your wireless controller button (you do not need to press them at the same time).

If it's a wireless controller, check the batteries, try new batteries. Or maybe the controller is not set to your xbox 360, press the little round button near the memory card slots, and then press the really small button on the top of the wireless cotroller.
