The way the expiration date is expressed on cigarette packs varies, so you have to know the "code" for the brand. For an example, see the Related Question for Newports. Generally, cigarettes are sold well within any expiration date, especially if they are name-brand cigarettes or popular off-brands. Once the pack is open, the cigarettes get stale quickly.

The expiration date is in Julian code... Google that to get your expiration date.
The date codes for Camels are on the bottom of the packs. It will say FSC, and a letter and a number. The letter is the month (A=January, B=February, etc) and the letter is the year (9=2009, 0=2010, etc.) That is the date they were made. Add 180 days to that, and that is when they expire.
Look on the bottom or on the cap for example salad dressing and the first letter is the month second is the day and the last 4 digits unless ur like a million years old is the year. There's a difference between "best by" and "expired by" best by is when it will probably taste better and "expired by" it is no good anymore on that date like example "Expired/Best by 6/8/08 even though it's 2012
8/7/80
