I had a 68 a long time ago which takes me back..........I wish I could help but I have found a place that really does help all Vette owners when they have questions like yours. Im directing you to a website: www.corvetteforum.com
This website was developed by Corvette owners for Corvette owners and its run and maintained by Corvette owners of all years.
The forum is broken into 6 groups, each group representing a generation of Corvettes. C1 is model years 53-62 C2 is 63-67, C3 is 68-83, C4 is 85-96, C5 is 97-04, C6 is 2005 til present
Use the website & find the forum year you need. You will find topics like: General discussion, Parts for sale, Performance, Cars for sale and TECH.
Decide which area best suits your question and use the search function to find if it has been answered before. If not, then post your question. Vette owners will either answer your questions directly or point you where to look for answers. I use this forum everyday.
The Corvette Forum website is not SPAM.
