Since your friend's husband is diseased they no longer celebrate their wedding anniversary unless that person decides to keep it private and visit the grave site on their wedding anniversary.

Another PerspectiveIf you are very close to your friend it may be appropriate to send a simple card, something that says, "Thinking Of You" or something similar. Nothing elaborate, just something to say that you remember.

Nothing you can say will help your friend feel better, but it may be nice to know that the anniversary has not been forgotten.
