If your computer is running Microsoft Windows 7, follow the steps below:
- Right click on the speaker icon in the task bar
- Click on "Recording Devices"
- Right click anywhere on the new screen and make sure that "Show disconnected devices" and "show disabled devices" are checked
- A new object labeled "Stereo Mix" should now be visible (if it wasn't before)
- Right click on stereo mix and click on the button labeled "Enable"
- Look underneath "Stereo Mix;" if the computer shows that "Stereo Mix" is the default device, sound recording applications will now record sounds being made within your computer (rather than sound from a microphone)
