There should be a fill plug somewhere on the side of the transaxle.
The MANUAL transaxle does not use transmission fluid. All 1994 Toyota manual transaxles use API GL-4 or GL-5 (oil grade), 75W-90 or 80W-90 (viscosity) gear oil. DO NOT USE TRANSMISSION FLUID which is meant for an automatic transaxle.
The AT fluid is also the lubricant for the differential. I think there were Camrys built with manual transmissions, but the answer would be the same. The transaxle is lubricated by one lubricant.
It depends on if it is a manual transaxle or an automatic transaxle. If it is a manual transaxle, you can use any SG-rated 5W30 motor oil. If it is an automatic transaxle, then you need DEXRON II Automatic Transmission Fluid.
Remove drain plug. Drain oil. Change oil filter element. Replace drain plug. Refill with fresh oil.
Look on the side of the transaxle for a plug, if this is a manual transmission. If it is an automatic, the fluid is added through the tube the dipstick is in. A manual transmission takes a heavy gear oil, usually about a 90 weight viscosity, and should only be filled until the oil begins to flow out of the hole. Check the level by inserting your finger into the hole. If it is right below the level of the hole, it does not need more oil. If this vehicle has several hundred thousand miles on it, it might be wise to drain the transaxle and fill it with new oil. If it is an automatic with more than 100,000 miles, flushing the transaxle is a good idea.
