That should be Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid in the automatic transaxle ( transmission ) according to the 1997 Ford Taurus Owner Guide * the type used is engraved into the automatic transaxle fluid level dipstick
Ariens is a commercial grade supplier of equipment. Their products run from 800 to1800$ new. Their used cost will depend upon condition and how good a deal you got. Probably half those prices for the same snowblowers.

I bought one of these at Menards 2 years ago. Snow Devil seams to have disappeared as a brand name and has apparently been re-branded as a WEN product. The LCT engines were used by Ariens (don't know if they still are). But Ariens dealers may be a source for parts.
I am a hobbyist and made the exchange of the engines included putting on a new transaxle in 8 hours. But I think they should be able to make it quicker in a workshop if that is why you are asking. Pvdanoscar

Assuming that the 5 speed manual transaxle on a 2000 Sunfire is the same type used in a 1995 Sunfire, which uses an Isuzu 5-speed transaxle, the following is the part number specified in the service manual: Synchromesh transaxle fluid GM P/N 12345349. The service manual also says that an equivalent lubricant can be used. Hope this helps.

I was looking at one of the Ford websites and it shows for the automatic transaxle ( transmission ) used with the 1.9 litre four cylinder engine in a 1991 Ford Escort : ( yes , Motorcraft FT-123 filter inside the transaxle pan )
According to the 2001 Ford Windstar Owner Guide : ( Motorcraft MERCON-V is used in the automatic transaxle / transmission )
