most likely you have a r12 cooling system. You will first have to visit a certified AC mechanic to have the r12 drained from your system and since you have to do that then you might as well have them do the r134 conversion at the same time, it won't add that much more to the cost.
Buy a recharge kit of r-134a attach to low pressure side on steel hose ( looks like large valve stem cap with letter L on it) and open valve.. follow directions on kit.
You can recharge your air conditioning system in your 1995 Pontiac Trans Am through the low pressure port. The low pressure port can be found on top of the air conditioning compressor.
