Hi,

I was part of a Jesus Only group in India for about 1 year.In the begining I didnt realise it is a cult,as it looks like a pentecostal church. But slowly i realised that it is a cult deviating from the word of God 'The Holy Bible'.The "pastors" of the group try to have total control of your life..And they try to belittle every other church and servants of God from other churches. If you are already a part of such group get away from them. Its a very dangerous demon controlled group!

you can read a detailed analysis of this group from the book "Jesus Only Churches"

What influenced Jesus?

Jesus appears to have been a follower of John the Baptist. Most of his unusual insights into Judaism are most likely a result of John's teachings. Since there is no historical record of Jesus we can only go on what little the Bible reveals. Aside from a connection to John's group, we know nothing of Jesus's direct influences.

Why did Jesus call the Pharisees hypocrites?

Because they were. They were so wrapped up in their traditions that they completely missed Jesus as the Messiah. Not only did they not recognize Him for what He was, but because of pride they felt threatened by Him and His teachings. This is why they had Jesus crucified.

I take it that you mean why did Jesus choose the Jews. The answer is that if He had chosen any other nation they would have all been coverted to his teachings. Jesus knew that the Jewish nation would be the only one to crucify Him.
