In some states, A dirt bike will have a red or green sticker. All 4 strokes and two strokes that are 2002 and older have green stickers with some exceptions to two strokes. All 2003 or newer two strokes have red stickers due to pollution. Green stickers allow you to ride all year long and red stickers only let you ride certain months out of the year. usually the six months around racing season. The times for red stickers vary and can be more or less than six months so check at the place you ride.

To register a vehicle, a person must go down to the local vehicle tag office, and fill out the paperwork and pay for the processing of registering a motorcycle. This requires a person to have the proper paperwork completed, depending on the state, a proof of recent inspection and proof of vehicle insurance.
