on the fuel rail there are two metal pipes that deliver fuel to injectors, the thicker one is the fuel feed hose and the thinner is the fuel return on the thicker pipe, start at rail and work your way down about 10 to 14 inches. i think the pressure check port is on pass side (right side) keep look out for the test port to check fuel pressure it looks like a small tire valve cap like on your tires remove black cap and you will see the same schrader valve you would see when you let air from you tires when you push down on the pin, fuel will come out do this with a cool engine and battery neg cable off fuel is highly volatile. wrap a old towel around valve so fuel does not get all over, and depress pin until fuel stops coming out be careful your dealing with about 45 lbs of initial pressure and wear eye protection no smoking no drop lights just a flashlight is ok you can also remove the valve just like a tire valve insert just use a valve extracter tool good luck g
The fuel pressure regulator on a 1999 Ford E150 Van is located near the carburetor in the engine compartment. It is to the right and in front of the carburetor.
Remove the gas cap. Now look for a Schroeder valve on the fuel rail. If there is none, you must relieve it by disconnecting the fuel line at the fuel filter. Be prepared for a spray of fuel. Wrap the connection with a rag to catch the spray.
What is the fuel pressure suppose to be for a 2002 ford e150 van with a 4.6 liter motor
schrader valve on fuel rail
if fuel gage is not working on a ford e150 van what do you do to find what is wrong and how do you fix it
allows you to attach a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure, you can also use it to relieve the fuel pressure during maintenance
easy way to relieve the fuel pressure is to remove the fuel pump fuse. after that start vehicle up. vehicle will run out of gas. the pressure is relieve,
find the schrader valve on the fuel rail depress the stem and it should release the pressure from the fuel system
In the fuel tank.
First loosen the gas cap and relieve any pressure in the tank. Now look on the fuel rail for a schrader valve and push it to relieve the pressure. It will look like a tire valve. If you find none, then just be prepared for a spray of fuel when you disconnect the fuel line. Wrap it with a rag to prevent the spray.
