The battery is located in the trunk on the right (passenger side) hand side under the carpet and a black plastic panel. After the plastic panel is removed, the battery is bolted with a piece of metal cover plate on the sheet metal. You will need a socket, ratchet with an extension. After the nut and the metal cover plate are removed, then you can lift the battery out of the compartment.
