After unbolting everything and trying to lower it away from the bell housing, you find there is not enough clearance at the crossmember. You must grind/cut away metal from under the transmission to allow it to clear the crossmember.

Or what I did: remove the crossmember, put it back later. Mine just bolted onto the frame rails.

The throwout bearing is located in the bell housing of the transmission. You must remove the t-case and the cradle to reach the transmission. It is super easy to install and remove once the t-case is secured in the cradle. Places the t-case in the correct position.

most manuel transmissions hve a filter, to get at the filter the oilpan needs to be removed from bottom of transmission
