There are screws that hold the lamp base to the fan or a decorative nut. If you can't see an obvious screw, turn the protruding decorative nut in the center of the base counter clockwise.

I just had the same problem. In my case. the bolt connecting the chain drive to the axle broke. Its an EASY fix! 1. Remove the pin on the crank handle that turns the chute. 2. Tip the snow blower backwards. 3. Loosen the two bolts at the rear of the bottom black pan, and remove the two in the front. 4. Remove the pan by tilting down and dropping out. 5. Move the wheels slightly to see if left chain moves in unison with the axle. If NOT> 6. Replace bolt #653 & nut #654. Reattach pan and tighten, and your good to go!
Disconnect the fixture wires and remove the central mounting nut to release the dome from the light fixture in a ceiling fan.
1.disconnect negative batt terminal. 2.loosen the adjusting bolt and remove the drivebelt. 3.raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it on jackstands and block the front wheels. 4.unplug the connector and the remove the battery lead from the alternator. 5.remove the pivot bolt and loosen the alternator bracket bolt. 6.remove the alternator by lowering it out of the bottom of the engine compartment.
Turn counter clockwise to remove.
Counter clockwise Is that counter clockwise to tighten or loosen? (i.e. RH or LH threads)
Turn the plastic nut counter clockwise.
Grip the nut with a pair of pliers and rotate in a counter clockwise direction.
To remove the nut, rotate it counter-clockwise.
A website named bransport.com carries lug nut removers for various size lug nut locks. It uses a reverse thread that tightens on the lug nut as you turn it counter clockwise to remove.
Counter-clockwise to remove (lefty loosy, righty tighty). The nut may be pretty much stuck due to dirt, debris, time, etc, but it takes a counter-clockwise roation fo removal.
this should be easy to find but it isn't don't know why ! people that right on forums are to stupid to include ........ " remove the axle nut" correction = remove the axle nut using a 29mm socket! how hard was that !!!!!!! 29mm is what you need for that nut !
use an impact gun and the proper size impact socket. and make sure its turning counter-clock wise to remove.
It depends on the vehicle, some are clockwise thread others counter clockwise. Either way it takes the correct wrench and a holding tool.
The axle nut looks like it has a retainer on it but it's just a part of the nut! put a wrench on it and turn it off!
AnswerLeft, counter-clockwise. Lefty loosey, righty tighty. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------It depends on which way the crank rotates. If it rotates clockwise the nut will be threaded on counterclockwise to prevent it from loosening. If the crank rotates counterclockwise then the nut will be threaded on clockwise.
