The page number was typed in the footnote, at the bottom of the page.
There is one basic difference between a footnote and an endnote: where it is placed. A footnote is at the bottom of a page and an endnote is at the end of a document.
For a paragraph.. insert a lower case italics at the end - maybe even centred... For a page... Go to page... settings.... and.... add a footnote.
