The dash actually comes out as an assembly. In other words you wont be removing a lot of stuff from the dash to get it out. Remove the steering column. (4 nuts on the bottom, one steering sector shaft bolt, shift cable, and several electrical connectors, and it's out) There are three 9/32nds screws across the top of the dash under the speaker grills and a trim cover in the middle. Behind each kick panel there is a bolt, remove them. Above steering column area, beneath the speedometer there is either a bolt or nut. There may be a bolt or nut under the middle of the dash in the floor tunnel area. That should be all the bolts and nuts. You will need to disconnect the speedo cable, ad all wiring harness and vacuum connectors as you pull the dash away from the firewall. You will need to use a lifting motion as you pull the driver's side of the dash away because there is a reinforcement bracket that you have to come up over. If you are removin the heater core, you dont even have to pull the dash all the way out. You can swing it away on the passengers side, set it on the passenger's seat and leave the driver's side pretty much in place. That will get you access behind to pull out the heater case. If you do that, be careful that you disconnect the battery, so that a light bulb under the dash doesn't burn a hole in your seat.
Might be able to get at in from underneath but probably will have to remove the dash cover
In order to remove a dash from any vehicle you will need to do one of two things. First, take it to the dealer to get it removed or look at the manual instructions to see if they explain how to remove it or if you can remove the dash.
