On the 3.0 the starter is below the oil filter.
Disconnect the battery
Remove the (3) 13mm bolts holding it in
Rotate it so you can get to wires
Remove the two connections
Remove starter (if 4x4, it will come out if you get it in the right orientation)
Installation is the reverse of removal
Make sure the large cable isn't near any metal it can short to
Reconnect the battery
