Put cold water in the glass that is inside the other, and soak the outer glass in hot water. The hot water will swell up the glass and the cold will "shrink" the inside glass... then carefully wiggle them apart.
try to add some water and twist the two glasses while pulling at the same time good luck x x
actually, add ICE to the glass that is inside. this will cause the glass to shrink some ... enough that you can twist them apart. this works best if bottom glass is warm. you could even soak in warm-to-hot water as the glass inside holds the ice.
(why does this work? as ice expands as it forms, as does many other materials, glass shrinks as it cools and expands as it heats.)
try to get as much water under it as possible!
use a plastic scraper or wood shim to get underneath it and pry in off
Put it in dishwasher or hot water. The glasses will expand from heat. Then they can be separated.
Run hot water over the outside one and they should separate.
Depending on the glass you may be able to just fill the glass with hot water and wait a minute it should remove then
Remove (or have a professional remove) the center console. The cup holder may or may not be repairable.
I had this issue on my '87. I pried the plastic panel out of the channel enough to work the prybar into the latch and work it open.
The word glass in this case isn't necessarily referring to the material glass, but instead referring to a small, handheld vessel for drinks, or a cup. Things that are usually, if not always made of glass have often been referred to as a "glass". For instance, a mirror may sometimes, but not very often, be referred to as a glass. With glass cups, and goblets the name "glass" stuck and became the definitive name for anything with that shape for the purpose of holding drinks. When one of these is made of plastic, it can be referred to as a "plastic glass", especially if the plastic is designed to visually replicate glass.
I just had to replace my glass. I bought the replacement at the dealer for $54.00 and they would not tell me how to do it. Remove any glass remaining. There should be a plastic piece with a circle of holes in it. I used a flathead screw driver and stuck it in each hole to force the plastic retianing clips to let loose. Then the plastic came off. Push the new glass replacement in plasce and the plastic clips snap it in place. Email harwell@bigfoot.com if need be. Autozone makes a double sided replacment mirror glass that replacment that fits exactly. Costs about $5-$7. I put one in about two years ago and it's like original. full coverage glass on your insurance will cover that.
You will regret it tremendously. I have been dealing with this for 3 moths now and it keeps getting worse.
Open hatch and remove LEFT small plastic door and pull Emergency release cable.
If they are stuck together and a little dry, you can throw them in the trash and get a new pair out. Once the plastic of the lenses gets dried out or stuck to something, pulling them back apart causes the lenses to be ripped, nicked or otherwise defective. Trying to wear them with a defect can cause major irritation or even a corneal scratch.
stuck how? I assume you mean on the way up or down, there are a few answers to this,, it could be the molding pinching the glass itself,, but in most cases its a misalignment of the glass as it travels in the track, window glass is secured at the bottom and often comes loose, to remedy this, you have to remove the inner door panel, and tighten that mount
To remove the stuck spark plugs, you can break them loose and then start to get them tighter as you rotate them out. The ratchet wrench can also be used to remove the stuck spark plugs.
