If your car is that old and you aren't trying to restore it for a collection you probably should get a new car
YOU MUST REMOVE THE DASH AND THEN THE HEATER BOX, 82 MUSTANGS USED TO HAVE AN ACCESS PANEL BUT NOT YOURS, IT IS A LONG JOB IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE IT BEFORE
on my 1985 Lincoln town car i had to remove the dash and get back to the firewall and remove a panel on the firewall to get to it. good luck it is a pain.
You can fit up to a 502 Big Block if you really wanted too. The biggest problem being that this is a 1984 is the emissions part of this. I own a 1984 old 98 regency I think its the elite edition with the leather. Anways it has a 5.0L V8 in it and the room is there just working around the computer aspec it the real issue. If you find a matching motor with computer if that's the way your going your set to go as long as you meet emission laws for your state. Goodluck, Nick College Station,TX
Depends on the model
located under the passenger front door.
On all chevys that year 1979-1988 It's Not Fun. Step 1. Remove heater hoses from core under hood. 2. Remove glove box door inside. 3. Take off all 5 heater mounting nuts under the hood. 4.Remove defroster hood on front of heater inside . 5 Gently pull heater unit back and down. 6. Remove all control cables from heater and mark them. 7. Then you can take heater core out of heater casing by removing 4 srews from case where core is. 8. remove front and back retainer straps from core. Reverse to put it back in.
The heater core on a 1984 Cutlass Supreme is located under the blower motor on the passenger side of the car, under the hood. First you need to remove the blower, and the hoses connecting the heater core. Replace the core, re-attach the hoses, and put the blower motor back on.
how do u re-place a heater core for a 1984 Lincoln town car
