If possible wait until it's cooled at least below scalding temperatures.(If not protect yourself with a rag and or gloves be ready to get clear of the fountain of fluid that may erupt.) Generally you will have to press down on the cap and turn it counter clock wise about a quarter turn. It may turn a little then catch. That's when you press in and turn some more.
Remove the radiator cap ONLY when the engine is cold.
Remove radiator cap. Push Cougar out of the way. Push a better car under the radiator cap. Install radiator cap.
Remove the radiator cap when the engine is cool and add the coolant into the radiator or you can add to the coolant overflow bottle. DON'T remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot!!!
There is a white tank up by the passenger's side fender. This is the reservoir for the radiator. Do not remove the cap while the coolant is hot. The radiator itself does not have a cap on it.
open the drain at the bottom of the radiator and remove cap
If you dont see the petcock, then pull the bottom hose to the radiator; remove radiator cap or remove cap from the fill antifreeze expansion add-to tank reservoir. I think this will remove any air lock and drain out faster.
remove the cap then remove the bottom radiator hose and try to catch the flood of anti freeze with a bucket.
Wait for engine to be fully cooled down. Take a magnet on a wand & #2 Phillips screwdriver and remove lock screw from radiator cap. Turn radiator cap counter clockwise until it rises into a loose position and lift it off.
when the engine is cold push down on the cap and turn left
With the radiator cold, remove the cap and fill to the top. Then remove the recovery tank cap and fill it halfway.
There isn't one, just the cap on the coolant recovery tank.
Radiator. Remove the cap and add coolant there.
