Open rear hatch, remove both D-pillar trim internally and pull back roof lining giving access to the base of the aerial. You can disconnect it from there.
Pull internal roof carpet around aerial down just enough to access nuts. Loosen nuts to remove aerial body. www.displaypro.co.uk
use silicone sealant around base of aerial
This relates to a 2003 fiesta. But it may apply to other models too. The aerial on the roof of the fiesta is made of 2 parts. The long flexible aerial and the more solid base. It is the base that actually attaches to the roof of the car. The long aerial part simply unscrews off and you should be able to do this by hand. To remove the base is more tricky. You will need to carefully remove the interior light fitting first. 1. Slide a thin pick or thin blade between the clear plastic covering of the interior light and the grey plastic surrounding. The clear plastic cover should unclip off. 2. This should reveal the light bulb plastic housing. Remove the light bulb first and put to one side. Then slide a thin blade around the edge of the light bulb plastic housing and carefully unclip and remove it. 3. You should be able to see the base of the aerial mount now. On my fiesta I had to use a star screwdriver bit to undo the bolt. This should release the aerial base from the roof of the car.
giving access to the base of the aerial
Yes, it just unscrews from its base mounted on the roof.
