Stored with the jack you will find a steel rod and crank handle. Go around the back of your envoy and open the tailgate. Either in the bumper or the cross section directly above the bumper you should find a hole (it might have a black plastic cover over it) that you can insert the end of the steel rod into. Put it in as far as it will go and turn it counter clockwise. The spare should start to lower to the ground. Continue to turn it clockwise until you can pull the spare from under the vehicle far enough to disengage the clasp that holds it in place.
To remove spare a tire from a GMC Envoy pull at the base of the cable this should free the bracket under the tire. Then take your jack lift up on the tire and slide it off. If you can not remove the bracket you can go to an auto shop and have it removed.

The jack is under the back seats of the envoy.
