I need to know how to change a starter on a 93 Chevy z71 Unhook battery cables from battery, take the ground wire off starter, take power wire off starter, take the 2 bolts out of starter and should come right out
Its on the back of the engine on the passenger side. Two bolts (if I remember correctly) to remove and the wires. You will need to remove the flywheel cover first (few easy to get to bolts), then remove the starter. Put in the new starter, be sure to double check the clearances on the starter gear with the dimensions you get with the new starter. Shims (also provided) may be required if the spacing is too far off. (Although I have never had to use a shim on any Chevy)
The fuel pump on a 93 camaro is in the fuel tank, it is very hard to remove on this model so be carefull , or let a qualified machanic do it. Not a back yard Machanic. Good luck
How to change a heater cord for a 93 chevolete caprice
Several possibilities: 1) battery does not have enough voltage to turn the starter; 2) faulty starter motor; bad battery connection.
The starter is up near the front of the transmission. On my 93, it's on the passenger side. It's right next the the flywheel. You can't miss it.
