With the use of a small flat screwdriver or a bent nylon tool made for arm removal, gently pry the friction retaining clip that's under the arm at the spindle side. Once the clip is moved forward, the arm will slide right off. You can buy the windshield wiper removal tool for around $4.50 at www.toolsource.com
